Help Us Save Reeses

Reeses is the sweetest, most affectionate, kind, loving, and timid dog ever. She's an 8 years old rescue. We've had her since she was 9months old. She came from an abusive home. She still has nightmares, extreme anxiety, and loud noises terrify her. But she's special and just wants the love and attention of everyone around her. She is comforting, understanding, and most of all a kindred spirit. A week ago, while on a walk Reeses was attacked by a stray dog. I tried to get the dog off her, but to no avail. I called her other mother who ran to our rescue and together we were able to break them apart. However, Reeses sustained some severe injuries. She spent five days in the ICU. She lost a canine tooth as well as four of her bottom teeth. The eyelid on her right eye was torn. There were several bites and scratches to her ears and head. The most severe wounds were to her left front leg. She fought hard and was healing. In total, her visit costed us 7,000 dollars. We spent our saving and borrowed from family and friends to make the payment. Unfortunately, one of her leg wounds (that was left open for drainage) split almost completely down her leg and opened up. She was rushed back to the hospital. Today was her check up. And today we received the most devastating news—our best option is going to be the amputation of her leg. At this point, we have exhausted all our funds. Reeses surgery is going to cost us between 5500 and 6500. It's money we do not have but need to give our furry baby her best chance. We are asking that you give whatever you can.
