Help us help Ukraine
Donation protected
When the russians (I can't bring myself to put a capital letter at the front of russia sorry) invaded Ukraine in February 2022, we decided to collect medical, hygiene and Humanitarian aid of all kinds and drive a couple of vans over like many other people in the UK also did.
Since then, after witnessing the devastation brought on by the invasion, Deborah and myself decided to carry on our campaign to help them where we can.
Over the last 12 months, we have driven over and built up a trusted network both here in the UK and, more importantly, inside Ukraine. We have delivered to towns and cities such as Sokal, Lviv, Ivan-Frankivsk Uzhgorod, Kyiv, Dnipro, Kherson and Kharkiv, to name a few.
The donations of aid from our supporters both off and on our Facebook group have helped us to grow to such an extent that we either send or deliver ourselves into Ukraine now almost once per month.
With your previous donations, we have recently delivered 25 tons of aid this way.
But as we have had requests to replace beds from hospitals that have been destroyed, our next ambition is to replace some of those.
Amazingly we have secured 104 brand-new electric hospital beds and aim to get them there in 3 shipments.
Any money raised here will go directly to a rental of a 45-foot Arctic truck and trailer to get these from Huddersfield into Ukraine.
This would only go as far as the Polish side of the Ukrainian border as its insurance is void once it crosses into Ukraine. I will travel personally with the cargo and once I get it to the border, we then have to arrange further transport to get the cargo through the border and deliver it to them our trusted contacts in Sokal, Ivan-Frankivsk and Novoyavorivsk.
To be honest, at the moment I've not a clue how to do that bit as things over there change daily - but I'll make a promise that if we can raise the funds for the 45-foot Truck to get from here to the Polish border, I'll get the stuff where it needs to be into Ukraine.
We did it last time and we will do it again.
Please share our appeal with like-minded friends and family and thank you also for getting us there last time.
If you get it to us, we can get it to them!
Thank you.
Deborah and Tim.
