Help Fund Olives Nunez De La Cruz's Memorial

On July 10, 2024, my grandfather, Olives Nunez De La Cruz, passed away from small cell lung cancer at the age of 73. Olives was many things: a devout Catholic, deeply loved by many, and someone who formed lasting relationships throughout his life. To many, he was a hero—a respectful individual, a devoted husband, and a friend. Most of all, he was a father to many. He always saw the good in people and treated them as if they were family.
Throughout his treatment, he kept a smile on his face and remained optimistic despite how draining it became. Over the span of four months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, it seemed like things were getting better. However, we soon found out that his illness progressed so rapidly that the treatment no longer worked. He was put on a ventilator as a last resort to ease the pain from struggling to breathe. Every day we visited him, and it was just bad news after the next. My grandfather fought bravely until the very end and is now at peace.
My family and I are raising funds to cover the costs of traveling to the Dominican Republic and his funeral services, as that was his wish. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
