Help us send our BPA team to Nationals!

My name is Michael Cooper, and I am the Superior High School Business Teacher and Business Professionals of America (BPA) advisor. I am reaching out to ask for support in sending our five BPA state finalists to Nationals in May. Our program at Superior High School is in its 32nd year and is a very competitive business chapter that creates fantastic extracurricular opportunities for our students. At the January Regional Conference, 18 members qualified for state competitions in a variety of events ranging from Accounting, Banking & Finance, Personal Financial Management, to Graphic Design. BPA challenges students with real-world, relevant assessments and allows students to extend their learning beyond classroom walls.

At the State Leadership Conference in Billings in March, five Superior High School students qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, on May 4-8, 2022. This opportunity presents a costly venture for our Superior students. For the current year, the estimated costs to send five students is approximately $2000 per student, for a total of $10,000. Every BPA member has participated in multiple BPA fundraisers this year, including Turkey Bingo, Valentine’s Day Chocolates sales and our ever-popular Dodgeball tournament. However, these fundraisers typically only cover a small portion of the total cost of participation at the State and National levels.

To supplement these fundraisers, the BPA students need your help! We are asking for a tax-deductible financial sponsorship, and any amount of help will be greatly appreciated. Our students' skills honed at these competitions are priceless and serve as a launching pad to success in the business world beyond high school.
