Share Bill's Incredible Tale with the World

I'm Allen Wood, producer and director of the documentary Theophilus chronicling the extraordinary life of artist William "Bill" Theophilus Brown. It has taken 12 years to bring this film to the big screen and thanks to generous donations, the film is complete. Our core goal with this film has always been to share Bill with as many people as possible We now require funds to enter the film in festivals and to market and distribute it. Our friendship with Bill was far too important and fascinating for us to keep it for ourselves. We had to share it. Bill was at the epicenter of the post WWII arts scene. This film not only chronicles his evolution as an artist by way of his experiences with the DeKoonings, Diebenkorn, Braque and Picasso, but also with other creatives of his time. Bill was great friends with great writers of his time such as Bill Inge, Christopher Isherwood, May Sarton and Janet Frame. Becoming a classically trained pianist at Yale, Bill also became great friends with Igor and Vera Stravinsky, Paul Hindemith and Andre Previn. Bill's tales about these artists that influenced our artistic culture must be shared. With your help, we can enter the film into festivals, as well as market. Please help us with your donation.
