Help Us Shoot "Sup, Bane?"

Donation protected
STORY:

Set during the third & fourth chapters of Come On, Harleen, Sup, Bane? follows Ben Fong, a young, Asian-American shopkeeper in Gotham City.

As he still keeps his mask on following COVID, Fong stays out of the politics & chaos stemming from The Joker being murdered by Batman.

Though Fong typically runs a smooth operation at his family store, his normal routine is soon thrown off by the unnerving presence of one customer - Harley Quinn.

NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:

While the initial plan was to shoot Come On Harleen 's first chapter & proceed from there, the funding was not coming in at the rate we hoped. Even after releasing two trailers to sell the mood of the narrative & to tease the first two chapters, the deadlines still failed to be met in time.

After nearly three years since writing the first draft of Chapter 1, it has taken far too long to get anything for this narrative, aside from trailers, off the ground. There is only enough raised to shoot just one of the five days needed to shoot Chapter 1. With time & money at a premium, I thought of another idea for an even shorter, thus less expensive film that can still promote the complete narrative.

Though I still hope to shoot all four chapters with the right budget & resources, this film can easily stand its own if all else still continues to fail.

RISKS & CHALLENGES:

Like the two trailers we shot in 2020 & 2021, the goal of this film is to promote a concept for an original DC narrative. Though the trailers only did so much, I thought that a shorter film that centers on another character & fan-favorite could still potentially guide our way back to what we hoped to do in 2019.

As far as pitches go, the third time is usually the charm. However, the impact we hope to get out this shorter piece might still be at a premium. Yet even so, this piece could still stand on its own in the worst case scenario.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

While we encourage donations as low as $5, we would also appreciate having our campaign shared among your family & friends via email, social media, or in-person.
