Victory is NOT guaranteed! The Newtown Sewer Plant Fight Continues . . . we will not give up. We have new objectives and our support is growing!

Friends, family, and concerned citizens,

We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for your overwhelming support in our fight against the proposed Newtown Sewer Plant! Thanks to your generosity, we have reached our initial fundraising goal of $1000. This incredible outpouring of support has been a true testament to the power of our Lower Bucks Community.

However, our fight is far from over. While we have achieved significant short term goals, the threat of harm ​associated with the proposed Newtown Sewer Plant still looms large. The Sewer Authority continues to push forward with their plans and we must remain vigilant and prepared for the long term challenges ahead.

The fight will be protracted but we will not be deterred.

Your ongoing Community Support allows us to continue to oppose the project​ by engaging in the following activities:

Legal Challenges: We may need to engage legal counsel to challenge the Sewer Authority's actions and protect the rights of our community. Current legal volunteers have submitted several Right to Know documents to obtain information not available in the public domain.

Expert Witnesses: We have engaged volunteer environmental scientists, odor engineers, and toxicologists who are developing a strong case against the project. Their project work incurs fees to obtain scientific, national and international, research papers​ to inform their research.

Public Awareness Campaigns: Continued efforts are needed to educate the public about the environmental, economic, and health risks posed by the proposed plant. This includes ongoing flyer distributions, ​website design, yard sign campaigns, tee shirt or other campaign branding, and potentially local advertising.

NEW Education Event: An education event is being planned for the Springtime to allow the communities involved to engage with our thought leaders on the project, to listen to presentations about the newest available information and to share concerns in a relaxed, social forum. Unforeseen Costs: Unexpected expenses can arise in any legal or advocacy campaign. Future support may be needed to acquire resources to address unforeseen challenges.

Every contribution, no matter the size, is invaluable. Your support empower​s us to:

Protect our environment: Safeguard our waterways, including Core Creek​ and Park, Lake Luxembourg, and the Neshaminy Creek, from pollution.

Preserve our quality of life: Prevent the potential ​o​f environmental hazards​ from property devaluation and disruption to our community​ by odors and unhealthy air quality.

Hold the Sewer Authority and Local Government accountable: Call for transparency and responsible decision-making in this critical matter​ by those responsible in our local governments and sewer authorities.

In the long term event of unspent donations . . .

Be assured that any unspent donations will be forwarded to an environmental charity in the Bucks County Region.
