Help Caregivers in Crisis in 2025: The 60-Day Challenge

Caregivers often face burnout from working around the clock, with no breaks or help. At SHS&S, we believe they deserve more. That’s why we’re launching our 60-Day Challenge to provide free, consistent support to three caregivers in desperate need. Our goal is to show the world that caregivers need more than just respite care—they need tools, skills, resources, and additional caregivers who can provide consistent weekly support.
So, What is the 60-Day Challenge?
We are looking for three caregivers who are already experiencing burnout. Starting February 1, 2025, through March 31, 2025 (Day 60). By close monitoring and support, we will show the world how the SHS&S Approach to Caregiving—with comprehensive caregiving plans, additional caregiver training, and consistent support—can transform the lives of caregivers and their families. We will provide these three overwhelmed caregivers with the relief they need through:
• A comprehensive caregiving plan.
• Training to recruit additional caregivers who will work (2-3 days/week, 8-10 hours/day) to
give the main caregiver a break or free time for themselves.
How Your Donation Helps
Our goal is to raise $14,000 this month to support the Challenge. Here’s how donations will be used:
1. Caregiver Relief – $9,000 Pay staff to provide support and train new caregivers for
consistent relief
2. Raising Awareness – $1,250 Marketing to spread the word and connect with more
caregivers in need.
3. Operations – $750 Help cover the costs for supplies and online tools for caregivers.
4. 60-Day Challenge Support – $3,000 Pay caregivers for 2-3 days of work each week to give the recipients the breaks they need.
Donation Breakdown:
• $25: Helps with overall Challenge expenses!
• $50: Helps pay for half a day of relief for a caregiver!
• $100: Pays for one full day of caregiving support!
• $500: Provides 4-5 full days of relief for caregivers!
