Hi Everyone,
I just want to firstly thank you all for your support and well wishes. The support so far has been astonishing!

Ezinne's passing came as a horrific shock to us all. Thank you for giving the family the space to come to terms with their tragic loss.

Ezinne Passed away on 10/04/24 at 37 y/o suddenly in her sleep. She sadly was found in her bed at peace by her children. Ezinne had suffered with severe chest pains and shortness of breath since December 2023. In the past 4 months Ezinne presented at her G.P and hospital a worrying amount of times.

Dr's did not intervein or hear Ezinne's plea's for a CT scan. A CT scan that would rule out any sinister causes behind her pain. Drs performed countless Blood tests/ECG's/ X-rays which returned normal results every visit. The family suspect the negative results played a huge part in the oversight of Ezinne's symptoms. The negative results then reinforced the Dr's reluctance to perform an emergency CT scan.

Ezinne pleaded with the NHS staff each time she presented in A&E in agony, practically begging for help. Ezinne presented at a total of three hospitals NMGH /MRI and Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester. Unfortunately the family learned that no medical practitioner she saw, posessed enough empathy to instruct further testing urgently. The family also learned how crucial time is with chestnpain and that a CT scan undoubtably would have located any abnormalities. Yet Ezinne was refused an emergency CT scan time and time again in A&E. Despite sitting in A&E crying for 6 hours at a time on most visits. Ezinne told the Triage nurses that she was scared to go to sleep. Out of fear that she would not wake up, to her children! Who she would often be forced to leave with a sitter to attend A&e over the 4 month period.

It was apparent that there was no urgency to progress to emergency tests associated with acute chest pain. Ezinne was placed on a 4-6 month waiting list for a CT scan via G.P referral to Cardiology, along with an appointment for further Coronary related tests on the 29th April. While being prescribed medication to treat Gastro reflux disease and an inhaler for Angina! Diseases we are now reasurred by medical professionals that she did not have and are impossible to diagnose without tests. However every G.P that examined the symptoms Ezinne described, then googled symptoms in front of her. Causing the negligent misprescription of medication.

The family received the results of Ezinne's Post Mortem on the 25/04/24 . The Coroner discovered that Ezinne passed away due to a complete blockage in her Coronary artery (Coronary Atheroma). Caused by a missed diagnosis of Coronary artery Thrombosis (please research this at your leisure)

Ezinne leaves behind her 3 Beautiful Son's Joshua 17, Daniel 15 & David 9. Along with her Siblings,Nieces & Nephews. Not forgetting her elderly parents back home, in Nigeria. Who she has soley supported for the past 18+ years. With everything from Medical bills to the bare essentials. This fundraiser will go towards supporting Ezinnes family in Nigeria while securing trust funds for her three Son's futures.

A full investigation in to medical negligence, missed diagnosis, Misprescribed medication will be completed. Upon the families instruction in due course. However right now the family just want to remain strong and focus on finally laying Ezinne to rest.

We ask that you keep the family in your hearts & your prayers, In this time of grief.

A Word From Ezinne's younger Brother Bright.

Words are not enough to describe my sister because she is a "RARE GEM", a type of woman every man should cherish, a mother every child would love and a sister every sibling would adore.
Your death has left a long lasting emptiness in us all.
Death is inevitable they say, but yours wasn't meant to be! Because you shone Bright like a shooting star.
I remember when I was back home in Nigeria, when Dads Legs were amputated, all he wanted to hear everyday in the hospital was your voice, because it gave him comfort on his sick bed. You were always supporting financially during the hospital terms. Even though you have a sick child to nurse of your own. and even before you passed, now the Lord only knows what is next for our family back home. I can't carry this pain and the responsibility alone. But I will do everything in my power to tell your story.

I came to the UK with my wife last year and she couldn't stop talking about you from the first day you visited her.
You are a light and will continue to be a light even in death.
Words are not enough, I can write all day, all week and I won't stop because WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH.
Your boys will miss you, Joshua, Daniel and David.
Dad and mum will miss you.
Nnamdi, Ebere, I and chioma will miss you.
Friends and Family will miss you.
Ezinne Obioma Ofurum, rest on, I believe you are in a better place, watch over your boys as you have always done, they need you now more than ever.

I Love you Ezinne.
