Help us support Jamie and Logan Metz

Dear Friends,

Three days after Christmas 2022, our dear friend Jamie’s life changed dramatically when she unexpectedly lost her husband, Bob. He was only 46 years old.

Jamie and Bob were meant to be together. Their romance began in high school and they were married in their 20s. Nineteen years ago they were blessed with a son, Logan.

Bob worked hard to support his loving family. He had a passion for helping others. If you needed help with something, Bob would make it a priority to be there for you. He also enjoyed making people laugh, rebuilding bicycles and tinkering with his car. But his biggest joy was watching Logan’s dream of playing baseball come true.

With Bob’s passing, and the loss of his income, Jamie now bears a tremendous financial burden. In addition to the thousands of dollars of funeral costs, Jamie faces everyday household expenses along with the deduction of her health insurance premium from her paycheck. 

Jamie is also helping to pay Logan’s college tuition and other academic fees. Logan is currently a freshman and working toward his own bright future.

As anyone who has lost a husband and/or a father knows, there’s tremendous emotional pain, anxiety, and grief. We can’t replace the love Jamie and Logan have lost, but we can work to bring some relief to the financial burden they’re feeling.

As close friends of the Metz family, we have created this GoFundMe to help Jamie cover her immediate expenses, a portion of Logan’s tuition and fees, and funeral expenses.
