With heavy hearts, we are humbly asking for prayers and support for the Johnson family.
Jeff Johnson suffered from an acute ischemic stroke unexpectedly on Monday, September 14th, 2020 and was admitted to Cleveland Health North in Stuart, Florida. He was transferred to Jupiter Medical Center to stabilize his condition with hopes of being discharged in the near future.
He is currently suffering from aphasia, which is the loss of ability to understand or express speech, caused by brain damage. He plans to receive treatment in a 4 week intensive aphasia rehab at the University of Michigan in October. Unfortunately, the aphasia rehab is not covered by insurance. We are asking for support and help for the hardship that his family may be going through.
Jeff has been an amazing past president, leader, and mentor in the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants for countless years, and we all have immense love and respect for him and his family. We want to offer and show our love and support in any way we can, and are praying for a full recovery with the help and expertise of this rehab facility.
