I'm Siumi, reaching out from Melbourne, Australia, with a heartfelt plea. In 2019, my mother, the cornerstone of our family, made the courageous move from Sri Lanka for a better life. After years of unwavering dedication, working tirelessly as a sales consultant, she now faces her toughest challenge yet: Stage 3 cancer. Diagnosed during medical consultations for excruciating arm pain, she's bracing herself for 17 chemotherapy sessions over six months, followed by a year of injections, surgery, and possibly radiotherapy. For the past few weeks she had gone through 2 out of the 17 chemotherapy sessions and is waiting to receive the rest. Additionally, she hasn't seen my younger brother, still in Sri Lanka, for five years, and we're working to bring him here for his education, which requires financial assistance.

For over a decade, my mother has been our rock, guiding my brother and me through life's trials with unwavering love and strength. Her resilience paved the way for my academic pursuits, including a scholarship at Monash University, where I'm currently studying engineering.
