Support Rahla Jr's Recovery After 3rd Story Window Fall

Hello, my name is Nina Rodriguez and I am a single mother of 3. A tragic accident has happened and my family could really use your help.

On March 27th 2024 my 10 year old son Rahla Jr fell out of a third story window at the hotel we were staying at on Central Ave. Rahla was with my 17 year old son Tyrell, for about twenty minutes until I got out of work when the accident happened. Rahla had been warned not to go near the window because it is dangerous, but if you know Rahla, you know he can be stubborn and impulsive. Both of my son's are traumatized from this incident and we are still trying to make sense of it.

Rahla is suffering from multiple injury's, including multiple fractures to his spine and ribs, severely bruised lungs, broken femur bone, and more. If he wasn't a bigger than average 10 year old, or it hadn't rained that day, we couldve been looking at a way different outcome. Rahla will be in a wheelchair with a full leg cast and back brace for at least the next six weeks, and has an extensive road of recovery ahead with surgery for his growth plate still a major possibility. He is a fighter !!!!

Sadly, his 11th birthday is also on the 18th of this month.

I am a single mom and I work very hard to provide for my 3 children but you can never be prepared for something like this. Anything received will go straight to me towards Rahla's recovery and anything he will need to support him as well as finding a new safe stable home for my children and I during this difficult time, which we badly need as we were already saving for a new home before this happened. I only feel the need to specify this since so many people made accusations or assumption, but this hotel was not a DSS hotel and I paid out of pocket for us to stay there. I am not eligble for any assistance unfortunately, even SNAP.
