Help Us Survive this war in Gaza after the Loss of My Father
Donation protected
Dear Friends and supporters,
We are in urgent need of financial support, as we have no source of income and are left alone to face these incredibly difficult times and the genocide in Gaza ,
*** I invite you to have a look on my story below***
My name is Qussai Hassan Al Helou. I am 19 years old, the eldest of five children.
Just a few weeks ago, we lost my father, Hassan Al Helou.
His passing has left us devastated and struggling to survive in Gaza amidst this war .
For the past 10 months, my father was our protector, guiding us through the war with strength and courage.
He was our first supporter, always putting his family first.
But in the middle of this brutal war, my father fell seriously ill.
When we rushed him to a partial destroed hospital in the very south of Gaza very far away of our home the the north of gaza due to our displacement from our home, as the case with all residents of the Gaza Strip.
we discovered a 7 cm tumor in his brain, Despite the limited resources here in Gaza, my father underwent surgery the very next day.
Due to the ongoing war, health services in the hospitals had been severely disrupted, the Rafah crossing was closed, preventing us from seeking treatment abroad.
The operation was successful, and for a brief moment, we had hope. But just 10 days later, my father suffered massive convulsions, and there was no one available to help.
On September 2nd, my father passed away. We never even got to say goodbye.
He left behind my youngest brother, Adam, just two days shy of his fifth birthday, and my sister, Mira, who is only 10. Every day, they miss him deeply, though they find some small comfort in believing that he is at peace in heaven, away from this endless war.
My brothers Rateb (18) and Yazan (15) have also been deeply affected. They have lost their right to study, and with it, their dreams for the future.
The bombing destroyed our home, leaving us with nothing. We lost our father, our home, and our hope.
Now, We only wish for is for the war to end so We can begin to rebuild our life from nothing.
I, too, have been struggling physically.
Last year, I underwent back surgery, and I am still dealing with severe pain.
I cannot stand or move properly, which makes it difficult for me to work.
Before the war, I was about to start university, but now that dream has been taken from me, too.
With my father gone, I have become the sole provider for my mother and younger siblings.
But with the war ongoing and destruction all around us, finding work is impossible.
Until the war ends, we desperately need help to survive.
You can help change our lives by donating. No matter the size, every donation makes a difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
