HELP US CREATE OUR FIRST DOCUSERIES: LOCAL 506
Donation protected
HELLO, and THANK YOU for taking the time to stop, and check out our CAMPAIGN!
My name is Cheryl Chances, and along with my fiance, Greg Brewster, we are Brewtality Films LLC.
Who is that, you say? We are independent filmmakers who have successfully launched our break-out documentary, "Monthly Metal at Balls Bluff" on our Brewtality Films LLC YouTube channel during the pandemic in 2020.
In 2021, we decided to grow our audience by doing reactions to the music we love the most, METAL. Not just any metal. We react to metal from mostly independent artists from ALL OVER THE WORLD!! We also have a weekly music podcast called, "FRESH ROASTED METAL"
On "FRESH ROASTED METAL", we interview artists of all genres across the Hard Rock/Metal scene. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to talk to the artists in a LIVE setting. This is where "FRESH ROASTED METAL", has gone on location, for a "FRESH ROASTED METAL MOBILE episode. It was during such an interview with BLOODYWOOD in September of 2022 that we met the subject of this Go Fund Me, Robert Walsh, owner of LOCAL 506 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
As we got to know Robert, we knew we had to do an episode on him, and the venue itself. It was a SUCCESS! During our premiere, we realized that this needed to be taken a step further. We didn't want to stop at just one interview, NO!!! We realized that this would be an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to film a docuseries that will tell the other side of the music scene! We thought this would be our chance to find out what running a music venue is truly like. The good, the bad, and everything in between that comes with having a venue in this day and age.
For us to document this story it is going to take a little help from all of YOU...our FRIENDS! The donations you make will help us acquire the things necessary to properly tell this story. They are:
1) A more powerful desktop computer with the capability necessary to professionally edit the docuseries.
2) [8] ZOOM Q8N 4K video cameras to set up around the venue, and the necessary accessories that come with them.
- Shotgun Mics
- Camera Batteries
- SD Cards (Where the footage filmed is stored)
- Lavalier Mics
- Camera Mounts
- Sound Mixer
3) Additional Camera/Sound Crew for filming shows etc as needed.
4) Extra editor to help me with the amount of footage we will be filming.
Our goal is to begin filming at the end of April. We will be accepting donations throughout the entire process to help us complete this docuseries.
Music and film are the two things that we are very passionate about. Both allow us the creative outlet to tell truly amazing stories. Be a part of this journey with us. Help us tell this unique story of LOCAL 506.
