From Abby:
Hey family and friends,
I wanted to share an important update about what’s been going on in my life.
In December 2024, I finally got answers for health issues I’ve been struggling with since 2019. After years of uncertainty, I’ve been diagnosed as high-risk for endometrial cancer.
Here’s what it means: my doctors and I have decided that a hysterectomy is the best path forward. Not only will it improve my quality of life, but it will also allow my medical team to test and ensure the cells haven’t progressed or spread to other parts of my body.
The surgery is scheduled for the end of January, and it’s coming up quickly. While we’ve been doing everything we can to prepare, we’re realizing that we’ll need help and support to get through this time.
We’re so grateful that insurance will cover the surgery and hospital stay, but both of us struggle with chronic pain, and we know this recovery period will push our limits. We’ll need help with things like rent, groceries, utilities, and recovery supplies like a shower chair and mobility aids.
If you feel more comfortable supporting us with specific items we’ve also included an Amazon list below.
If you’re able to contribute or share some love and support, it would mean the world to us. Any help—big or small—makes a difference.
Thank you so much for being there for us. Your kindness and love keep us going. We love and appreciate all of you.
