Help us throw Mick a Celebration of Life

Hey everyone, my name is Violet Vasquez and Mick Adventure Vasquez was my father.

Saying that is going to take some getting used to.

 

As you have probably heard, Mick died suddenly but peacefully on December 30th 2021, a day after he had just left his wife's home in Oklahoma, a truck full of home-cooked meals and a heart full of love. He is survived by his adoring wife Trudy, his daughters Violet and Jessica, his mother, sister, brother, niece and nephews, and beautiful grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

Mick was best known for standing out from (and above) the crowd. He was a man who saw the world as his stage, and all of us his audience. Everywhere he went, people wanted to see him and be seen BY him. He was magnetic, hilarious, often coarse but always loving. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

 

 

His death was a shock to us all. He wasn't supposed to go yet. Not yet. He was supposed to see me, his daughter, get married in June and had just bought my wedding dress. He was supposed to buy a house with his wife, where they'd raise Highland cattle and get old together. He was supposed to see his grandchildren grow up...

 

 

 

But knowing Mick, he'd not want us to dwell on what could have or should have been. No, he'd want us to party. Hard. So this is why we ask for your help: to put on a party.

 

 

 

 

Your donation would cover airfare for his daughters and grandchildren to fly to California to be near family and friends. It would cover lodging, rental cars, a venue for the celebration, food, maybe a karaoke machine? I think he'd have liked that. It'll also cover airfare for his daughters to visit his home in Oklahoma, and shipping costs for taking home sentimental personal items of his. If there is anything left after these expenses have been taken care of, it will be split evenly among his daughters.
