Help us to create a Healing Sanctuary in Scottish Highlands

Donation protected
Hello, we’re Clare and Ian, and we’re excited to share our vision for something that is very close to our hearts.

Clare is a highly experienced certified holistic therapist with over 20 years of expertise in integrating mind, body, and spirit for overall well-being. Her approach combines a deep understanding of holistic healing practices with a compassionate, client-centered focus. Committed to supporting individuals on their personal growth and wellness journeys, Clare tailors her techniques to each client’s unique needs, fostering balance, resilience, and inner harmony.

In 2021, Clare's son was involved in a life-altering car accident that left him with significant injuries as a passenger. This traumatic event profoundly impacted their lives, deepening Clare's understanding of resilience, healing, and the power of holistic care. Her personal experience navigating this challenging journey has further strengthened her commitment to supporting others through adversity, offering empathy, guidance, and a compassionate approach to healing.

That accident not only changed Clare’s life emotionally but financially as well. Her son was left disabled for life, and the medical expenses and recovery costs have taken a significant toll. While these circumstances have left Clare without the funds to build her dream retreat, they have also deepened her understanding of resilience and healing—fuelling her mission to create a space where others can overcome their own challenges.

Ian, Clare’s partner, has over 20 years of experience in hiking and climbing through the Scottish Highlands. His passion for reconnecting people to nature and the land is matched by his love for creative, sustainable ventures such as natural building techniques and upcycling. Ian’s commitment to environmental stewardship will be a core part of the retreat, teaching participants how to tread lightly on the Earth while nurturing their own healing and growth. Together, we aim to create a retreat center that will support healing through nature while promoting sustainable living.

The Vision

Our dream is to build a holistic retreat center in the heart of the Scottish Highlands—a sanctuary where people can reconnect with their true selves and the natural world around them.

The retreat will offer therapies designed to restore balance and bring healing to the body, mind, and spirit. These include trauma-informed bodywork, mindfulness practices, meditation, energy healing, and much more.

Additionally, Ian’s creative vision includes workshops that teach participants sustainable practices such as natural building techniques, upcycling, and environmental conservation. These activities not only nurture a sense of purpose and creativity but also contribute to saving the environment—a cause we hold close to our hearts.

We will create a nurturing, eco-friendly space for individuals dealing with trauma, stress, burnout, or simply seeking a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them.

Why the Highlands of Scotland?

There is something truly magical about the Scottish Highlands—its rugged beauty, serene landscapes, and spiritual energy. This region offers a rare kind of peace, making it the perfect backdrop for deep, transformational healing.

The Highlands are a place where people can reconnect with nature, explore the beauty of the land, and find grounding in its timeless energy. This connection to the natural world is central to our vision of healing and growth.

Our Plan

We need your support to bring this vision to life. With your help, we plan to:

Build eco-friendly accommodations using sustainable materials.

Create wellness spaces for therapies, meditation, and group activities.

Cultivate an organic garden to provide nourishment and therapeutic opportunities.

Incorporate renewable energy systems to ensure the retreat’s sustainability and minimize environmental impact.

Offer workshops on natural building techniques, upcycling, and other sustainable practices.

The funds we raise will go towards setting up this transformative center. Our target is to raise £50,000, which will cover the following costs:

Land and property acquisition: £20,000

Eco-friendly construction (accommodation & therapy spaces): £15,000

Wellness equipment and furnishings: £5,000

Sustainable energy and water systems: £5,000

Organic garden setup: £3,000

Permits, legal fees, and business setup costs: £2,000

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us get closer to making this healing sanctuary a reality.

Why Your Support Matters

This project isn’t just about creating a retreat; it’s a deeply personal mission for Clare and Ian. After experiencing so much adversity—particularly the financial and emotional strain of caring for her disabled son—Clare has a heartfelt desire to create a place where others can find hope, peace, and healing.

Ian’s passion for sustainable living and reconnecting people with the Earth adds an essential layer to our vision. By teaching participants how to incorporate eco-friendly practices into their lives, Ian hopes to inspire others to care for the planet while finding meaning and joy in creativity.

Your donation will help provide a nurturing, nature-infused environment where people can heal, reconnect, and learn how to live harmoniously with themselves and the world around them.

How You Can Help

1. Donate: Any contribution, big or small, will bring us one step closer to opening the doors of our retreat center.

2. Share: Help us spread the word! Sharing our campaign on social media or with friends can help us reach more people who may want to be a part of this.

3. Volunteer: If you have skills in eco-building, holistic therapies, or land management, we’d love to connect with you and see how you can contribute to this project!

Our Token of Appreciation

We deeply value your support and would like to show our gratitude through a tiered system of giving back:

For small donations, you will receive a personalized thank-you message and updates on our progress.

Mid-level donations will be recognized with free access to a workshop of your choice, focusing on therapies, natural building techniques, or upcycling.

Larger contributions will include guided tours of the retreat, free therapies, or even a stay on-site for a night or weekend once our center is up and running.

Your generosity is helping us create a transformative space, and we want you to be part of its journey and enjoy the fruits of your support.

Updates & Gratitude

We will keep you informed throughout this journey and share updates on our progress. Your support is not just a donation—it’s an act of partnership in creating something that will impact countless lives.

Clare and Ian are deeply grateful for each person who believes in this mission and who supports us in making it a reality.

Thank you for being a part of this life-changing project. Together, we will create a space where people can heal, reconnect, and embrace the wilderness of the Highlands as part of their transformation.

With heartfelt thanks,
Clare and Ian
