Gaza War forced us to lose memory, Help us start again!

Hello,

My name is Salem Abo Hamda and I am reaching out to you with a broken and devastated heart.

In the last 6 month, I lost my home, my job and everything I owned.

My city Gaza has been under constant attack . Everything was taken away from me and I have absolutely nothing left.

The only people left are my wife, my five children and my father whom I have to support.

I paid $5000 USD for each person( my family) to get them out of gaza and transport them safely to Egypt. I still have a son Akram, who is 8 years old still in Gaza who went missing for 4 months when our home was bombed and we had to evacuate. He was with his grandfather at the time and came to see us without telling his grandfather at the same time we were attacked. We had no communication with him for 4 months and had no idea another whether he was alive or dead. Thankfully another Palestinian family had rescued him as the area was under attack and phone signals were poor to non existent.

My son Akram has miraculously since been reunited with his grandfather and my wife’s family in Northern Gaza. I cannot evacuate my son on his own as he must be accompanied by an adult and now need $2500 USD to evacuate my son, and $5000 USD to evacuate his grandfather to accompany him.

Before all of this happened, I owned and ran a successful driving school in Gaza which has since been completely destroyed. The little money I had was used for evacuation of myself and my four other children (as Akram was missing and presumed dead). My wife was also a lawyer in Gaza and her office has been destroyed.

I have to rent a home or even provide food for my family. Its really hard to start over, especially, in Egypt. Salaries are very low and we rely on donors until we can get back on our feet again. The additional $2500 will help cover rent and basic costs for approx 4 months.

I am pleading out to every human being with a kind heart to help me with whatever they can.
