Help us to light up our pantomime for Chertsey

Hi we are STAINES MUSICAL THEATRE. Please help us to light up our Dick Whittington pantomime for families in Chertsey

It’s 25 years since the award winning Staines Musical Theatre proudly presented sell out performances of “The Sound of Music” at Chertsey Hall.

Now we are back with our traditional pantomime “Dick Whittington” on 7th – 9th December 2023. This will hopefully be followed by the musical 9 to 5 in June 2024, plus a range of workshops and social events, that will be open to all

To ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience the magic of panto, we also have a relaxed performance on 6th December for those with additional needs who may not be able to attend a traditional performance. We are not charging for this performance but are asking for donations to support our costs.

Since we were last there, the sound, lighting and other facilities at Chertsey Hall have become sadly outdated. So we need to spend a lot of additional time and money hiring and installing lights, effects and sound systems to ensure we put on the spectacular show that residents of Chertsey and the surrounding areas deserve.

Like many musical theatre groups, we have struggled to break even on our main productions in recent years, with high costs from the rights’ holders, decreasing audience numbers through / after COVID and increasing costs for hiring rehearsal space, set, costumes etc

We are therefore asking if you would be able to spare a few pounds to help us bring Community Theatre back to Chertsey. If you aren’t in a position to donate, please can you like or share this on your social media.
