Help Us To Move To New Hope Senior Village

Hi, David and Evelyn here. **Thank you to everyone who has donated. With the love and support you have shown we have the funds for the truck and moving. however, we hit a bit of a snag. We are going to need to have someone haul away some things . Please invite your friends to help make our move. Thank you. Again. We have the opportunity to live in a wonderful active senior community. So the donation you give to us will really help with moving expenses. (We are both on Social Security) This apartment is the answer to our dream. We really love the name-New Hope Senior Village Apartments. Because the name-New Hope-says it all. This past year has been very trying for many of us, but recently David went into the hospital for not only Diabetes complications but he was also diagnosed with Covid-19. It really affected his legs. He is still in physical therapy and working to regain the strength in his legs. He still have covid effects-brain fog, and extreme fatigue. Now he has to use a shower bench, his cane is his new companion. He also has a walker and a wheelchair. Our current place is way too small for us now. it is not equipped with all the things we need such as a railing in the bathroom, more secure surfaces for him to get his walking exercise in. Not enough Wheelchair accessible areas. The sidewalks are uneven and very narrow. The outdoors is like a minefield because the ground is so uneven with wear and tear, we are afraid he will trip because of the uneven surfaces. Now New hope is an active senior apartment complex. it has the things that will give David the support he needs physically and for his emotional well being. The apartment is 862 sq ft-not 640 Sq. Ft. Close to shopping, a Dial-A-Ride System and close to downtown. So We hope you join us and become a co-creator in helping our New Hope come true.
