Help us transfer When Atlas Met Tantalus!
Donation protected
When Atlas Met Tantalus is the acclaimed LGBTQ+ history play from our small theatre company Great Egg Theatre. After road-testing our show at two pub theatres this summer, we are transferring the show to the Greenwich Theatre Studio - and we need your help!
Donations will help our show reach a larger audience, improve our chances of touring and/or transferring the show further and allowing us to create more great queer theatre in the future.
Every small donation helps!
About the show
1897. A parlour in Victorian London. Two men trapped together, facing a secret that will change their lives forever.
James and Edwin are worlds apart. But when they find themselves unexpectedly entwined by a twist of fate, they must face their similarities and the secrets they keep – from each other, and from themselves.
The clock of history is ticking.
Can we hold everything we love on our shoulders?
When Atlas Met Tantalus is a taut, poignant new work highlighting issues of queer identity, community, public outing and the way that history shapes our present, within a witty and engaging one-hour drama.

Why help us?
Your contribution directly supports the work of LGBTQIA+ artists, work and storytelling and creates a more colourful, inclusive and brave culture for our communities.
We hope to bring Atlas to more venues and educational spaces, allowing us to tell our story to more audiences and grow our LGBTQ+ company - which will also help us to produce more work!
Perks of supporting us
All donors will be thanked on our website and in print programmes at future productions of the show. Donations of over £150 will be eligible for a poster signed by the cast and crew, social media shout-outs and Production Sponsor credit in our programmes and a free ticket or recording of the show!
