OUR STORY

Squashinhos is an urban squash and education project based in Rio de Janeiro - Brasil that is dedicated to changing the lives of children from the local favelas giving them access to squash training and educational support, we provide over 100 kids with the skills, discipline, and opportunities they need for brighter future away from violence.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to guide these children onto the right life path, using sport and education as the main tools for personal and social development. By teaching values such as discipline, respect, teamwork, and resilience, we aim to open doors to new possibilities and create lasting positive change in their lives.

What We Do

Squash Training:

Regular Classes: Our qualified coaches offer regular squash training. Some of our coaches were ex students of ours who are now passing on their knowledge to other kids and following a career in squash.

Tournaments: Participation in local and regional tournaments helps foster healthy competitiveness and sportsmanship.

Educational Support:

Language classes: We provide tutoring in English and Spanish. To give the kids the best skills they need in the workforce and also opening up opportunities outside of Brazil.

Workshops: Our personal development workshops focus on leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.

Career Guidance: We offer vocational guidance to help children discover their interests and potential career paths.

Our Impact

We have seen significant improvements in the academic performance and self-esteem of our participants. We are proud to say that the majority our students have reported better grades, and we have created a supportive community that promotes a safe and healthy environment for all.

Why We Need Your Help

While we are currently helping over 100 children, the need is much greater. Many more children could benefit from our programs, and with your support, we can expand our reach and impact. We have HUGE waiting list of kids that would like to join our program but due to lack of funds we are not able to accept them for the time being.
