Help Us Travel to the National Tournament

We are the Valeo Boston 2007 team, and we have just qualified for the U.S. Club Soccer National tournament in Colorado this July after winning the Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament in New Jersey on June 28th! We are thrilled about this accomplishment, the result of years of dedication and practice. We were the first inner city team from Boston to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals, and we are now the first to be competing in this prestigious national tournament. But the tournament fees, flights, and hotel costs for the length of the tournament are very expensive and may make it hard for us to seize this opportunity.
Our team embodies a truly positive, collaborative America: we have players from all backgrounds, many first or second generation from countries such as Cape Verde, Honduras, Iran, Haiti, Ireland, Djibouti, and Vietnam, all working and playing together. Some of us have been on this team, under the guidance of the wonderful Coach Tony, since we were in second grade. All of us have been working hard to support each other and achieve an undefeated regular season that led up to this moment. We do not have fancy facilities, sponsors, or a dedicated home field, but we have a lot of determination and enthusiasm.
We are so excited to have qualified for this tournament, but we need your assistance to get there. We are raising money to help our team and families cover the substantial expenses traveling to Colorado will entail (especially after just paying for the regional tournament out of state). The funds are being used for players and members of the players' families for the following: airfare, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, food. There are approximately 38 people attending the tournament. We're so grateful for anything you're able to contribute. It means so much to us. Thank you! Vamos, Valeo!
