Dear ICOS Community,

At ICOS, we're dedicated to bringing you free, enriching activities that enhance the well-being of everyone, especially those who feel excluded. In 2023 alone, we hosted 40 workshops and events at Backhouse Park, Sunderland.

As our community grows and more of you join us, we face new challenges—especially with unpredictable weather. To keep our events thriving and ensure everyone can enjoy activities, we are in desperate need for a new gazebo. We're reaching out to you, our wonderful community, to help us make this possible.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a big difference in keeping our projects going strong, rain or shine.

All funds will be used to purchase a new spacious gazebo, ensuring our outdoor workshops and arts and crafts activities can continue in all weather conditions.

We exist to improve the quality of life of BME people in the North East and to enhance community cohesion and intercultural understanding in this area. We focus on those who lack access to information and services to ensure equal access. We have particularly strong links to the Eastern European community, but we have also successfully worked with refugees, asylum seekers and BME people born in the UK. Currently, most of our work is delivered in Sunderland and the surrounding area.
