Help Us With End of Life Costs for Michael York
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amy. As I sit at the hospital beside my brother Michael's bedside, watching him struggle to take his last breaths of life, I know he is losing his lifelong battle with drug addiction.
Michael is my 36-year-old younger brother. His childhood was very troubled and full of abuse. He also suffered a head injury at 8 years old, which caused bleeding and swelling of the brain, which resulted in brain damage. Michael has struggled with the demons of his childhood abuse and turned to substance abuse as a way to cope as a teen. He has been struggling with addiction all of his adult life.
Michael has always had a heart of gold. He never let the addiction change his heart and love for everyone. He is a lover of all and the most forgiving person, no matter how badly he was hurt.
Due to Michael's disability status and history of substance abuse/use, he could not get life insurance. Therefore, the costs have fallen upon his family.
My family thanks you in advance for your help with these expenses. Whatever funds remain after final expenses are paid will be made available for his children, Son, 12, and Daughter, 19.
