Urgent Call for Help: Support Sancho’s Recovery

We need your help! Our sweet Sancho has undergone surgery at the equine hospital in Córdoba to treat a severe mucus issue that didn’t respond to initial treatments.

Last Monday, after a detailed examination, the decision was made to operate. The surgery, led by Surgeon Mendez and his team, lasted 5 hours. Using endoscopy and laser, they worked to soften the infection, wash it out with serum, and drain the pus. Sancho, brave as ever, was incredibly participative during the procedure.

Sancho is now out of immediate danger but requires daily check-ups and will need to stay in the hospital until Friday or Saturday, depending on his progress. Once back at Donkey Dreamland, he will need to be in quarantine for at least 15 days to ensure his full recovery.

The total hospital bill, including transport, is a bit over €3000. As a small rescue center dedicated to helping abandoned, mistreated, and neglected donkeys, we rely heavily on donations. We are reaching out to our wonderful community for support to help cover these costs.
