Our dearest friend Jill is taking on her 6th course of chemo treatments. Our connections with Jill run deep — and we know her community of rugby players, family, coffee aficionados, and outdoor enthusiasts is large and mighty! We’re reaching out to bring you into the fold and to ask for your support.

After more than 10 years of surgeries, radiation, chemo, and clinical trials, Jill’s cancer is now non-curative. Her current treatment plan is about controlling recurrence and any additional spreading. We’re raising money to cover medical expenses for medications and treatments; travel expenses to Houston for oncology visits with her primary doctor; everyday costs for childcare, food, and transportation; and her upcoming move back to Denver.

The goal right now is to help Jill concentrate on spending time doing what’s most important to her, not stressing about bills and finances. Jill’s committed to maintaining her quality of life — spending loads of time with her 2 babies, traveling with friends and family, drinking excellent coffee, and all the smiles and laughter!

Jill is a competitor at heart and someone who never ceases to take opportunities even in the face of her cancer. In 2014, when she was first diagnosed, she kept up her rugby training. She powered her way back to health and competed in the 2016 Olympic Rugby Sevens Team! In 2022, after 3 surgeries and 5 courses of chemo and radiation, Jill followed her passion and opened up Helm — her coffee roasting dream! She’s never stopped living to the fullest and we know she sees no reason to stop now.

In the midst of her most recent cancer treatments, Jill is in the process of selling Helm and preparing to move back to Colorado. We want to help her navigate these changes as smoothly as possible.
