My story * (abajo en español)
This is me, Valerie or Val as many of you call me. For those that know me, know I have an adventurous spirit, that I'm usually constantly moving, either by pursuing a passion of my own or in help of another project that aligned with my beliefs and values.
For about 2 years, I’ve been battling chronic pain, fatigue, not been able to walk, loss of mobility, joint stagnation and inflammation and many other symptoms that continue to appear.I was first misdiagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis and was told to take some medications as if I didn’t I would been in a wheelchair. I have never been keen to conventional medicine, as I’ve studied many herbal and alternative options for health choice. But this time because of fear of not been able to walk I decided to take the meds. It helped for about 3 months but with many side effects, including depression and cloudy mind, so I stopped. Since then it’s been an ongoing battle on finding ways to heal, from seeing indigenous healers to Chinese medicine. I’m not saying that nothing worked but it has helped me to be in a way “stable” but not completely healed.
I've learned a lot from this condition, I wouldn't wish on it to anyone but it has brought me many lessons, met amazing people on my journey and helped me grow in many ways that I wouldn't change it for anything.
I want/crave to have a better quality of life, to be able to still go on adventures, to hike, swim, dance and mostly keep up with my nephew. Not being able to carry him when he was a baby was one of the things that hurt me the most. I’m a photographer by profession and passion but with this condition, there are days that I can’t even hold up my camera gear or have the energy to go out and explore. I believe i still have so much to offer to the world, it’s burning inside me and leds me in time to time to frustration for not being able to move from my bed.
I believe everything has prepared me for this moment, if I wasn’t a person with big Faith, hope and optimistic, I’m not sure how would of take it.
Since I can’t work with my skills, as an Adventure Photo Documentarist and also not been able at times to continue on my organic products brand and produce, it’s been a battle to continue to sustain myself. I moved back with my Mom since I needed help with many things, she has been an amazing support but I know that it has also been hard on her. She sustains us both and sometimes we get there barely. With what little i can do at times and her hard working, we get whatever supplements, therapies, food that help me heal.
A new hope
Now I’ve been newly diagnosed Lyme, which believe it or not it was a relief to finally know what I have and understanding the why of many other symptoms I started to have, like tremors, memory loss, brain fog, nausea, weakness, insomnia, weight loss, not being able to straighten my arms completely and more. I’ve learned that no matter what the name of your disease is, we have the power to heal. And it all starts with BELIEVING.
My health declined and had a bad flare the last few days and this pushed me to ask for help. I found a clinic that has a protocol that has worked amazing for Lyme disease, I know i didn’t “bump” into by chance. I believe this is the chance to make a big difference in my health. The body knows exactly what to do to heal but sometimes it needs a bit of help, a push to remind it what to do. And I believe this treatment will do that and more.
The cost and how you can help me:
The cost of this treatment is $16,300 dlls and I truly believe with help of friends and family I can reach the goal. I need to collect at least half of ASAP it to be able to start immediately and I can give the rest at the last weeks of the treatment. The treatment will last minimum 4 weeks, it consists of Chelation, Ozone therapy, Stem Cells and Photon therapy. Seeing the amazing testimonies of other people that has taken this treatment, gives me more hope for a better quality of life.

Esta soy yo, Valerie o Val, como muchos de ustedes me conocen. Para aquellos que me conocen, saben que tengo un espíritu aventurero, que generalmente me estoy moviendo constantemente, ya sea persiguiendo una pasión o proyecto propio o en ayuda del proyecto de otro que se alinea con mis creencias y valores.

Pero esta vez por miedo a no poder caminar, decidí tomar los medicamentos. Ayudó durante aproximadamente 3 meses pero con muchos efectos secundarios, incluyendo depresión y mente nublada, así que me detuve. Desde entonces, ha sido una batalla constante para encontrar formas de sanar, desde ver a curanderos indígenas hasta la medicina china. Soy fotógrafa de profesión y pasión, pero con esta condición, hay días en que ni siquiera puedo sostener mi equipo de cámara o tener la energía para salir y explorar. Creo que todavía tengo mucho que ofrecer al mundo, está ardiendo dentro de mí y me lleva a la frustración de vez en cuando por no poder moverme de la cama.
Creo que todo me ha preparado para este momento, si no fuera una persona con mucha Fe, esperanza y optimismo, no estoy segura de cómo lo tomaría.
Como no puedo trabajar con mis habilidades, como documentalista de aventuras fotográficas y tampoco he podido continuar con mi marca y producto de productos orgánicos, ha sido una batalla para seguir manteniéndome. Regresé a vivir con mi mamá porque necesitaba ayuda con muchas cosas, ha sido un apoyo increíble, pero sé que también ha sido duro para ella. Ella nos sostiene a los dos y algunas veces lo logramos apenitas. Con lo poco que puedo hacer a veces y su trabajo duro, obtenemos los suplementos, terapias y alimentos que me ayudan a sanar.
