Help Valentine Barker move to Greece!

In August 2023 I was assaulted while walking back to work during my lunch break — the two individuals yelled racial slurs and sped off in their unmarked truck. It wasn’t the first time something like this has happened to me. It wasn’t even the first time something like this happened to me in 2023. It’s an all too common occurrence and I’d rather be somewhere it’s considerably less likely to happen again. In that moment I felt truly powerless because… what was I going to do? Relocation seems like the best option available.
The money will go towards:
- Airfare (~$1,500),
- International shipping of my belongings (~$3,100), and
- At least three months worth of rent and living expenses ($4,500.)
I’m looking at leaving on July 2, 2024 and returning in September to finalize some paperwork and exhibit at Rose City Comic Con here in Portland, OR. Then, as long as nothing goes wrong, I’ll be returning to Greece mid-September. The truly difficult part of all this is I’ll be going ahead of my wife for various reasons and I’ll effectively be on my own when I get there.
Any help (even sharing) will go a long way and will be greatly appreciated.
