Funeral & Medical Expenses for the Sevilla Family

Valeria, along with the entire Sevilla family, suffered an immeasurable loss with the sudden passing of Greta Sevilla Chinchilla on February 26th and Amalia Sevilla on March 1st. Greta and Amalia, mother and daughter, suddenly passed due to complications related to COVID. Greta passed away from low oxygen saturation levels and Amalia suffered a cardiac arrest upon arriving at the hospital; both resulting from COVID.
Valeria’s grandmother, Greta, and her aunt, Amalia, were strong pillars in Valeria’s life. They played a tremendous role in Valeria’s identity and both shared the dream to see Valeria return to Peru before they passed. Before Valeria’s mother passed away, Amalia had promised her that she would take complete place as a mother/caregiver and support Valeria throughout her life.
Greta and Amalia both had underlying medical issues, which caused them to be vulnerable to COVID. In Peru, disability/retirement does not exist in the capacity that it does here; therefore, Vale paid for their physical therapy, diabetic issues and financially supported treatments.
Both Victoria and Maria have started this page as a way for friends, family and acquaintances to provide financial support for the Sevilla family as they plan to cover medical expenses and funeral costs.
