My name is Olivia Burger, and I’m a close friend of Vanessa’s. We met just last year under another difficult circumstance. Through it all, I witnessed Vanessa’s resilience and how tirelessly she fought for others, even while facing immense challenges of her own. Her strength and selflessness inspired me then, and now I feel compelled to fight for her in the same way. Vanessa has been through so much already, and this devastating loss in the Eaton Fire is something no one should have to face alone. I’m asking for your help to give her and Harry the support they need to rebuild their lives.

On January 7, 2025—a day meant to celebrate Vanessa’s birthday—her and her new fiancé Harry’s lives were tragically upended by the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA. The fire tore through their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They lost everything—precious keepsakes, necessities, and the safe haven they had built for themselves and their beloved pets.

Vanessa and Harry are some of the kindest and strongest people I know. Now, they urgently need our help to rebuild their lives. Along with the emotional weight of this tragedy, they are caring for their two dogs and two cats, ensuring their fur babies stay safe and loved despite the upheaval.

Rebuilding from scratch is an overwhelming challenge, but together we can help them take the first steps toward a fresh start. Funds raised will go directly toward essentials like temporary housing, clothing, food, and eventually, finding or building a new home.
