Hammer attack survivor Vanessa Bennett needs a place to live
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Christie and I am helping my cousin Vanessa raise money for her new start back in her home state. Vanessa has asked me to help her with this because "she is tired." You would think being homeless would be less worry... think again! Vanessa has been trying for years to keep a roof over her head. She has been made to feel like she was on the run from people that have wanted to harm her. She wants to be away from a crowd that is not healthy to her goals of staying sober. Colorado is expensive and just renting a room is not an easy task from month to month. That is what we are doing... trying to keep a roof over her head and giving her a sense of peace and safety.
A little background on Vanessa. She was brutally attacked when she was three. Her parents and sister died because of the EVIL predator that stole everything from Vanessa. Vanessa was left for dead, but she lived and is STILL working through her physical and emotional trauma. She was a survivor at three years old and she still is today. What she has to do on a daily basis to find happiness is beyond what most of us can imagine. Thank you for what you can help out with to elevate and support Vanessa. God Bless.
Update today 2/3. Vanessa is back in Arizona. For almost a week I didn't hear from her. I spoke to her yesterday and she is safe and is getting help from professionals that can guide and coach her. She says she feels better and I am thankful for that. She will still need help to continue therapy and finding a safe place to live. Thank you for your donations.
