Help veinotte with expenses

Hi, so if you know me I'm really not one to ask for help.. Especially when it comes to financial support, if anything I don't ever let people even buy things for me. However I'm in a really tough spot right now. Let me explain.
So as many of you know I'm in the army. I just got a house of my own last month and had to pay first/last on it. To get BAH (army house allowance which would cover my rent + food and such) you have to put in a packet and submit a bunch of papers, which I have already done so but hasn't been accepted yet. I didn't impulse make this decision as I have money saved to be able to afford rent/food/bills for a couple months even without it. However by the picture you can see that something unfortunate happened today and I'm kind of screwed.
I was driving on the highway with my girl and the baby and all the sudden my foot went to the floor and i lost all acceleration power. I then pulled over and tried to see if i myself could do anything to help, but it was pretty much a no brainer what had happened. I got it towed back to my house ($291 later) and ran the check engine code with a OBDII scanner. The code was P0730 and basically means i need to either replace/rebuild the internals of the transmission. Which if you're not familiar that's around a $2-3000 job all things considered. Right now i need a car for transportation to work plus take the baby to appointments and basic life necessities and i can't afford/it would be pointless to rebuild a trans on a car that itself is only worth around the price of the rebuild itself. So my game plan is to try and find a newer used vehicle and put a down payment on that. But if I do that rent/bills/food and such for us will be super tight and honestly don't even know if I'll be able to pull one or the other off. I have pictures and proof of everything if you really need to see it all including rent costs and avg food costs but tbh I don't want to put that all out there unless I absolutely have to. Even if you can't directly help a share is more then appreciated.. thank you <3
