Help Velez Family After House Fire
Donation protected
On April 8th, 2023, our family lost our entire home to a fire. The fire took every thing we owned, every thing we valued; every picture, our clothes, we lost several kittens. Everything, gone in a matter of moments. But our loss goes beyond the value of material things.
For more than 40 years, my now 83 year old grandmother has called this place her home. Her home is where she showered everyone with love. It’s the place where we all grew up, where we celebrated, where we mourned, where we went for the summers, the holidays; where we made some of our most priceless memories. This was our home, the place our grandmother made hers, the place where she enjoyed her family and her life peacefully for more than 40 years. This is the place where today we would have celebrated another Easter holiday but that place is now gone. Our hearts are filled with sadness but we are very thankful that our family is safe and no one was injured at the time of the fire.
We lost a place to call home, along with many of our childhood memories but my grandmother is suffering a loss that is indescribable. We know that our losses could never be replaced but we’re hopeful that we’ll find a way to provide a space and a life where she feels safe again and can continue to live peacefully alongside her family.
We are asking for your consideration as we manage through such a difficult experience.
We’re grateful for any contribution or donation as it will make a world of difference in our journey to getting our family to a place we can one day call home.
Thank you and God bless.
