Help Velocity Sloth Mom and family

On December 17th, Velocity (Brenda Farris) lost her husband Don to Covid. Don was the sole provider for her and their daughters (Yahve and Dappest).

Some of you may not know their family, but I bet you know of the things they’ve done. If you’ve ever been to a Midwest convention and found one of those plastic eggs, that was them. 

Their family has spent the past several years going out of their way to add to the convention experience for everyone. From custom 3D printed badges to making convention mascot heads, they have done it. They are also a part of the Warm and Fuzzies, dedicating their convention to make it more enjoyable for others in need. They have done all this without recognition because their only wish is to add a bit to the fun for all. Pure selfless acts of kindness.

People like them are truly unique and special. At the beginning of Covid they worked tirelessly to make masks for healthcare workers in need. They made hundreds.

All these amazing things they have done have taken tremendous amounts of time and all expenses for it came from their own pockets. The only thing they ever wanted in return was to see people smile.



It is completely unfair that such wonderful people have to experience this devastating loss. 

There are no words that can help ease the pain they are feeling right now, but we as a fandom can collectively help ease the financial burden they are facing. We can give back to them for all the smiles they have given us. We can help them keep the focus on their family instead of financial stress and worry. 

It’s our time now to show them the love they have given to all of us.
