Help Ventura's Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Please help Ventura's rebuild our little corner plaza restaurant in Whitney Beach, Longboat Key, Florida.

Almost two years ago, we opened our dream. We have managed to build our business with a great team and loyal customers near and far. Hurricane Helene has devastated us and our island!

Our immediate goal is getting the bar room and takeout operational with outdoor dining.

Our community needs us. The first responders and the utility truck drivers who have been working around the clock are sleeping in their trucks in our parking lot. As Jesus fed the hungry, we need to feed them. Our LBK residents who have lost everything need us, and our Ventura's team needs to return to work.

We are not sure financially if we can recover from this. We stayed open to serve our community in September, and it was our worst month in two years. When asked how it is going, my response has been we are surviving, keeping our heads just above water, and after this storm, we are drowning. Yes, we have insurance, but we have deductibles and other expenses, and we exhausted our funds saved during the summer months. Our "Season" was a few weeks away; now it's gone.

Everyone keeps asking if we need help, and the resounding answer is now YES. Our staff has been working tirelessly to help gut and rebuild alongside us, and we need to be able to pay them as well.

The outpouring of love, compassion, and care from all over the country and overseas has been amazing.

We hope to be serving from our little corner soon!
