Help VGCUSA Buy A Schoolhouse!

I am Josh Bound, a career public school teacher and founder of the Video Game Clubs of America. In the fall of 2018, I stood on a TEDx stage in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and proclaimed to the world how starting a gaming club helped me to connect kids of all kinds, thereby breaking down assigned social stereotypes. Since that fateful day in 2018, VGCUSA has helped to begin and support over 660 clubs across the United States and around the globe.
Through gaming clubs, we have the opportunity to teach needed social-emotional learning skills and help young people develop life skills on the path to becoming solid citizens. No one should ever eat lunch alone in a Video Game Club world!
Your donation to this campaign will help us take possession of a landmark building. In 1909, Mary B. Sharpe Elementary School opened its doors to young people in our hometown of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Through the years, Mary B. has been used for many things inside the Chambersburg Area School District, most recently in 2021, as an alternative education site. At some point in the next couple of months, the building will be put up for public auction!
Owning a building like Mary B. would be a game changer for VGCUSA, and WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP. We believe that through building ownership, we can have an enormous impact on the Universe and continue to help socially awkward kids become socially active citizens.
With Mary B. Sharpe as our headquarters, we will:
1. Establish a community outreach center offering much-needed ESL and trade classes
2. Create a unique "hybrid" school for cyber students in and around Franklin County, Pennsylvania
3. Rebuild a keystone institution in the local community by offering food pantry services to needy families
4. Promote STEM-based gaming activities and classes in an online world
5. Found the Video Game Clubs World Wide headquarters in order to work towards our mission of gaming clubs in every school
