Help Vic and Mike Rebuild After Eaton Fire

Hello everyone,

My husband and I are creating this for our friends, Vic and Mike who lost their home and everything in it in the Eaton fire in Altadena. Vic and Mike don't know we are doing this as they are the type of people who usually help others rather than asking for anything for themselves.

Both Vic and Mike are educators; Vic is the head of the World Languages Department where I taught at Los Angeles Valley College and Mike has recently retired from his position at LAUSD. In addition to losing their home in the fire, they were out of town at the time and were not able to take anything valuable/sentimental from their home.

They got married in their home (you can see them holding their marriage certificate in the photo) and we have also been several times to their home for departmental holiday parties. Their sweet, beautiful home was a mirror of the love this beautiful couple shared with their friends, colleagues, and community. It's hard to believe it's all gone.

We're so grateful Vic and Mike are safe, but we're heartbroken to know they have to return and face this overwhelming loss. If you can show some love, whether it's a few dollars or just a prayer, it would be greatly appreciated.
