Help Victor and Tricia Rebuild After Hurricane
Donation protected
Many of you know Victor Chiarizia and Tricia Welch (my mom). Victor is the owner of Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery and a renowned glass blower in the Fairview/Asheville, NC area.
During Hurricane Helene Victor and Tricia lost everything. Their home flooded and ruined 90% of their belongings, destroyed Victor’s studio and creamery, and swept away his vehicles.
Their livelihoods along with their home and belongings are gone.
The bridge to cross the creek gave out and they received 21 inches of rain in two hours. My mom told me that the water reached their front porch and 30 seconds later it burst through the door! They didn't have time to grab anything but were able to run upstairs to safety.
It is going to take so much work to get back on their feet, not only to recover their home but financially their livelihoods are also gone. Anything you can give to help them recover will be appreciated.
At this time it's difficult to reach them as they are without power/water/cell service and the mountain they live on is inaccessible for the time being as many roads have washed away in the mudslides.
Victor and Tricia have a wonderful neighbor has has a generator and starlink and helped them cross the river with life vests and a safety rope yesterday so they could get food and showers.
I am Tricia's oldest daughter, Jessica, and I'm located in Florida. Many have asked me how they can help my family so these funds will go to help them in whatever way necessary to hopefully remediate their home, purchase a new vehicle, and any other necessities.
