Help Victoria Harder Treat Severe Eczema
Spende geschützt

Victoria Harder has dealt with bouts of eczema her whole life; however, in the past 4 years, it has gotten much worse. In the last few years, her eczema has spread all over her body, most significantly being her arms, hands, and face.
After finally seeing a dermatologist that took her seriously, she was told that she does have severe eczema that is out of control. They cannot work on long-term treatment until her flare-up (which she has experienced for over two years) is under control. Going forward, she will get a patch test done (waitlist is over a year) and attempt to get into a clinic to do light therapy. Her dermatologist has also recommended her getting injections that have been proven to have great results in getting severe eczema under control. However, this option is not covered by medical and costs about $1,150/month. She will likely need between 4-6 months of treatment. While there is a medication with the same purpose, it is much less effective and is very hard on the body. Victoria would require frequent liver testing to see if her body can handle the medication.
While Victoria will be reluctant to tell you the extent that her eczema affects her, it severely affects her daily life. On a daily basis, her skin bleeds, is itchy, and burns tremendously. She has to be on medication to help her sleep because the pain does not allow her to fall asleep or stay asleep. Even something as simple as showering causes great pain and burning all over her body. The sooner we can help Victoria get her eczema under control, the sooner she will find relief from the daily pain and discomfort she experiences.
Injections are the quickest route to relief for Victoria. Please join me in helping offset the medical costs for the best medical option for her to get relief.
