Help This Vienna Family Rebuild Their Lives

Hi, I am fundraising for a local Vienna, VA family of 4 who desperately needs help rebuilding their lives.

Shelley, the family's matriarch, has a spinal cord injury and has been wheelchair-bound for over two decades. In addition, she has battled severe kidney complications for years which have become increasingly detrimental to her health as she attempts to care for her family.

Her mother, the victim of domestic violence, now lives with them after the last incident left her hospitalized and currently disabled. She is under routine doctor's care, and Shelley handles most of her care at home since she cannot care for herself. She could not return to her home, leaving a lifetime of possessions and an inability to prove ownership of the homes she owns. Knowing this, Shelley's father filed a suit to sell all of the houses, including their current home.

Her daughter, Olivia, also fell ill with an infection and has since been hospitalized twice and had surgery recently. Shelley cares for her mother and daughter, despite her own declining health.

The legal bills from fighting to keep her home and the family's medical bills have quickly become insurmountable. As a result, any savings have been completely drained.

I am hoping that the generosity of the Vienna community, and those that know us, will help this family get some of the relief they deserve to get them back on their feet again.
