Help Vinay's Recovery after Road Accident

Hi, I am Sathish Samiappan and I am fund raising for my family relative Vinay Ponnuswamy.

Vinay was a postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. On December 28th, at 7.15pm, Vinay was hours away from boarding the airplane to his home country, he met with an accident while walking to cross the road to go to Walmart. Vinay was hit by a car that caused injuries to his head and multiple fractures. Following the incident, In the past 23 days, Vinay had multiple surgeries at the VCU hospital and looking at least 4 more weeks of recovery in the hospital.

Vinay was sedated for days and finally able to open his eyes and say a few words now. At this moment in time, we do not know how much everything will cost since Vinay's insurance ended on Dec, 31, 2023 after the end of his employment and J1-visa with VCU. His family is dependent on Vinay's earning so his single mom cannot afford to cover his medical and travel costs.

We are asking for anything, even a penny helps. All funds will be used directly towards Vinay's medical bills and his travel to go back home. Anything at all helps and if you are unable to donate that is completely ok, all I ask is that you spread the word to others.
