Help Vital Step Stay Open & Continue to Serve

Hello Vital Step Clients & Community,
As a small business, we are facing many obstacles during this COVID-19 pandemic ranging from supply shortages to a possible eviction from our landlord who has not been willing to work with us during this difficult time. We are raising money in order to remain standing so that we can continue to serve our patients in our community that have entrusted us with their care & to acquire the necessary supplies needed to treat our patients safely after the dust settles.
The health and wellness of our patients and staff are our top priority and therefore, limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our communities and among our most vulnerable members is of utmost importance. As a healthcare and wellness practice, Vital Step Physical Therapy will remain open during very limited hours for URGENT POST-OP CARE ONLY. This means that low risk patients (1) who have just had surgery and require timely rehabilitation services to prevent joint limitations and disability will continue to be serviced until mandated otherwise.
We have taken precautionary measures by limiting patient care to one-on-one sessions, continuing to disinfect treatment tables, equipment, fixtures, countertops, chairs, doorknobs before and after use and have increased the frequency of deep cleaning with our building housekeeping staff. We will continue to practice appropriate hand hygiene and infection control procedures. Manual therapies are only being performed with personal protective equipment worn by our therapists in order to prevent significant joint limitations that can occur rapidly after surgery.
Current patients who have less urgent conditions are being asked to refrain from coming in to reduce the risk of exposure and will be offered alternatives which will help them manage at home. We have asked that patients of higher risk to remain quarantined and practice social distancing as recommended.
We are working on virtual and future in-person wellness/fitness offerings for all, as well as possible TeleHealth (virtual Physical Therapy) for our existing patients. As a minority-women owned practice we have experienced our fair share of challenges over the past 5 years, however never anticipated anything to this capacity.
Even with our current efforts, we still anticipate a significant loss over the next few months. With your help, we hope to weather this storm, remain open and continue to provide urgent care! A portion of this donation (10%) will be used to create care packages for elderly patients in need.
We express gratitude to all of our patients who choose us time and time again for their physical rehab needs!
Please consider donating if you are able. Share with your network and those who have the ability to support.
Thank you for all of your continued support!
