Radicle: The Live Recording by Vivian Ogu

Hey! I'm Vivian and I'm looking to partner with you for the production of a live recording. The project is called Radicle, and is a collection of original songs that serve as roots-- a firm foundation for someone who feels lost.

A "radicle" is the first part of a seedling to emerge from the seed during the process of germination. It grows downward in the soil and anchors the seedling. In 2020, when the world was hit with a pandemic of great proportions; a time when social, political unrest and violence came to a head all over the world, I found myself overwhelmed. The last few years leading up to 2020 were challenging enough, but something about 2020 took away my ability to breathe. I found myself uprooted, disoriented and in desperate need of an anchor, and I'm sure some of you can relate.

Perspective. That was the Lord's gift to me. How to seek and find God in the midst of turmoil. How to sing a song of praise from a deep well. Gratefulness became my path to see the Lord in the midst of the hardships. This was the way my mind changed and my heart was healed.

My hope is for this project to anchor and affirm everyone who listens, creating space to exhale and have honest conversation with God. Honestly, I'm the first on the line of people who need a constant reminder to practice this. I'm glad to know it's one step at a time. I pray we let the truth of the fullness of who God is take root in our hearts and may may we live honest, vulnerable, and courageous lives that are full of everyday miracles in every season.

Majority of the budget will cover production costs. That'll cover payment for camera work, live mixing and post production editing. The remaining funds will used on the set. We want to create a space that feels warm and intimate as we sing these heart songs.
