Help VoD get into their new home

Hi there!

As you will know, Voices of Darlington was started almost 10 years ago by our lovely Director Claire Willmer and sessions were held in a classroom at QE College. When lockdown hit, we went online but re-emerged in person in 2021 and started choir sessions in the church at All Saints in Blackwell.

At the start of 2023 when Claire re-joined us after her brief hiatus from teaching, she started up the Friday morning adults choir, and then the little stars group became so popular we had to split it into 2 in September 2023 and in January 2024 we started our 3 Musical Theatre Choirs too! Alongside all of this, VoD went from having just Claire doing private lessons, to now having 6 current teachers and another joining us in December, teaching at Hummersknott Academy throughout the week.

We have outgrown the current facilities as we want to continue to expand to bring more choice and opportunities, not just for our private singers but for our choirs too!

We can only do that in our own premises, so we have been working hard behind the scenes to find somewhere.....and we have!

It's a lovely space, close to everything we love but we need to do some work to make it into our VoD Family Home!

We are asking for your help to get us there....

We need money towards:

Our new home will be self contained, clean, and secure, with parking and close to transport links as well as being just a stones throw away from the town centre, in an area that VoD members know well.

We know how much you all love VoD and what it brings to not only our members but our community, and so we're asking you from the bottom of our hearts to help us if you can please. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us on our way.
