Support vulnerable woman during childbirth

My name is Rebecca Agum Madut. I am asking you to join me in my deeply heartfelt pursuit to help my mother give the gift of life to vulnerable women during childbirth.

I am from South Sudan and have been living in the United States for more than 20 years. My home country has the highest estimated maternal mortality rate in the world. This is because my people do not have access to the basic resources and training needed to deliver a child safely. I am very blessed that my mother, Deborah Yar Pabek, has been a midwife her entire life and is now volunteering in a small village called Mayath in South Sudan. However, this doesn’t change that these basic needs are extremely difficult to come by. I wish to help my mother have access to these things we take for granted.

Your donation will provide birth kits for my mother and the few already trained midwives, such as blankets to wrap the newborns. In addition, this funding will provide the ability to train more midwives. Every woman should deliver safely without fearing for her own life. Your donation, no matter how small, will save the lives of women and newborn babies in South Sudan.
