Help w Tom’s Covid expenses & daily bills

Hi, my name is Tina. Both my husband, Tom, and I recently are victims of covid and were fighting it off through natural means. But Tom checked himself in to the Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) for what he had hoped would be a “a quick oxygen treatment”. He’s been stuck there ever since.

The rate of increase in Oxygen supplementation has been alarming. His covid pneumonia is very bad. Though exhausted, he continues to do as many breathing exercises as possible in order to keep the lungs as clear as possible. He said he needs to keep it open so he doesn’t drown in his lungs before all the meds finally kick in. (He’s on Remdesivier). He had also finished a round of Ivermectin. We just need him to stay strong enough long enough for the treatments to work.

Unfortunately, we don’t have medical insurance. In fact, we have a insurmountable pile of debt that has accumulated because of some terrible circumstances that were no fault of our own. We were powerless to save our entire savings and retirement. It was already looking bad for us financially before all this happened. It has been very challenging but we make the best of our circumstances.

It is the most embarrassing and awkward thing to go to strangers on a site like this (I don’t know about these things). But I’ve been told that I need to ask for help. We never ask for help... but I guess I have to now. My family has been wonderfully supportive as well as all our friends, congregation, etc. but I’m putting this appeal out to you, the kind stranger, for some compassion. I feel very funny asking for money from those who’ve paid me so much already in love. Anything you can do to help would be so appreciated. At the same time, if you can’t, it’s ok. Please do not feel any type of guilt trip. We all help however we can from our hearts. If you can’t donate, can you please just spread the word about our needs? That little share, as well as any kind encouraging words you can give my husband so he doesn’t give up would be so appreciated from my heart.

My goal here is to simply make sure we don’t get swallowed up in an even larger black hole of financial mayhem after all this. Tom is a fighter and wants to live. He’s determined to. But if he doesn’t, I’m sure he would be relieved knowing that, at least, his wife wont have to worry about some of the bills or losing their mortgage.
