Help Wahab Repair His Car From A Hit and Run

OUR DRIVER WAS HIT BY AN ENTITLED MAN WHO JUST DROVE AWAY. WE WANT TO HELP OUR DRIVER REPAIR OUR CAR.
Hey my name is Nadir and I’m a filmmaker and creator currently travelling through Pakistan on my way to the northern Swat Valley.
Myself and a friend of mine Ayesha were travelling by car driven by Wahab a man of humble means. When offering to pay for his lunch he said he refused, preferring instead to keep the money we would have spent on the food for his income. He has been nothing but resourceful, chivalrous and trustworthy throughout our long journey.
Suddenly at high altitude the roads became difficult and icey. We found ourselves stuck and the driver with the help of some locals were doing their best to get the car through the icey patch.
Out of nowhere a luxurious 4x4 Lexus came zooming up the mountain and thought it could wiz pass our still car. Instead it also slipped and slammed into our right. The locals pushed the two cars apart and the driver of the Lexus knew he messed up. Our driver pleaded with him but he just drove off before telling him “it’s your problem”. He had no regard for the livelihood of Wahab and how much it would cost him to repair the damages.
We managed to catch up with the driver and tried to reason, but his wife was venomously throwing insults and he nonchalantly said he’d sort it out in Islamabad (lying). When I took pics of the car and it’s license plate (for evidence for the sake of my driver) it agitated him and he sped off arrogantly.
We went to the police station and they did all they could. But they all knew this is how it goes here, he will get away with it.
He believed his entitlement would allow him to get away with it. We just fell awful for our driver and his work. And thanks to such amazing feedback online have been convinced to set up this campaign to help him repair his car with little to no personal cost in it for him.
Things like this happen all the time. Money and power are allowed to walk over those without it. It’s a small incident, but we just felt so riled up about it seeing it happen LIVE in front of us. We just wanted to do something to help him.
not asking for million. But if you got £1, $1 or a coffee today to donate it will go really far in making sure some sort of justice has prevailed.
thank you!!!
