Help War Vet and Hero, Cesar Deleon, Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Our Dear Community,
We are creating this campaign to help our friend, Cesar De Leon, who is currently facing a tough battle with cancer. After beating it a year and a half ago, the cancer has come back and spread.
Cesar is an incredible husband to his wife, Keiko, and an awesome father to his children, Maya (5) and Ken-Ken (3). He’s one of the kindest, most generous people I know, and I’m lucky to call him a friend.
Cesar is a veteran, who fought for our country while serving two tours in Iraq. He was also among the heroes who answered the call for volunteers at the World Trade Center immediately after 9/11, working amidst the rubble and smoke to help in the search for survivors and clear debris. Unfortunately, it was there that he was exposed to toxins which ultimately resulted in lung cancer.
After his military service, Cesar found a new passion as an actor and director. His short film, Junito, was critically acclaimed and helped launch his career. He’s appeared in a number of series and films from The Sopranos and Law & Order to The Mule, Get Shorty and Mayans.
Sadly, Cesar has depleted most of his financial resources and is struggling to afford the basic things he and his family need.
That’s where I’m hoping all of you can come in with us and help. As a community, our goal is to help fund his medical treatment, as well as help cover the family’s housing, bills and provisions.
Cesar has willingly sacrificed so much for our country and our community, and there is no better way for us to thank him than to help him in his time of need. Any donation, no matter the amount, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will help him and his family get the support they need.
We know times are tough, and money is tight for many of you, but if you can find it in your heart to give even a small amount, it will go a long way. Cesar, Keiko, his children, the entire De Leon family and all of us who are proud to call him friend would be forever grateful.
Please share this campaign far and wide, so we can come through for Cesar like he has for so many others.
Thank you so much for your help and compassion. It means the world to us!
